Selah is 5!!!

So much to catch up on. This summer is going so fast! We had Grace Anne's 2nd birthday the 24th of July and Selah's was last Sunday on the 7th of August. Neal and I also celebrated our 7th anniversary on the 6th of August. Needless to say we have had lots of cake and ice cream and should stick to eating what the garden is growing  before we start growing anymore! We took Selah and Abby to a Tincaps game last Monday. We all had a lot of fun....and ate a lot of hot dogs!
Chloe` is a growing baby. She was in for her 4 month well baby check-up and was off the charts for everything. She is 18 lbs! Selah was 19 lbs when she turned one and they were the exact same measurements at birth!
The garden is very different this year than it has been in the past. The corn has done great (the coons didn't get it!) as well as the cucumbers...they have been come'n out of our ears! Of course the zucchini and summer squash have been doing well, when don't they, right? The potatoes have a couple more weeks in the ground before we dig them up. The sun flowers and huge 10ft plus! The raspberries were so yum! And we got wonderful lettuce and spinach in the beginning. On the other hand the tomatoes have a terrible blight (sp?) and aren't doing very well. The beans have something that is eating all the flowers so that we haven't gotten any beans. Two of my favorite garden veggies, sad.
Tomorrow, Sunday, Selah and Abby will be going out to Pennsylvania to visit Neal's parents for a week before we take a trip out there. Oh, how I miss them when they go, it just isn't the same at home. Grace Anne misses them too. I know they are in good hands and they are still talking about the time they went out at the beginning of the summer, it helps to know they are having so much fun. Pray for safe traveling for everyone!!! This will give me some time to catch up on things around the house, some zucchini relish made ,(I'll share the recipe sometime. We love it on hot dogs, hamburgers, fish, and chips and cheese!) and get the last bit put together for starting school! Selah and Abby are so excited! I'd have to say that I am too. Neal is such a great supporter with homeschooling and is excited about teaching the girls as well. I want to keep track of the girls' progress as well as helpful things that I'm learning along the way. It is going to be just a lot of fun, hands on, learning with lots of books to read and field trips to go on! More about this topic later I'm sure.
On to some pictures...

Our wedding day 7 years ago!

Now look at us! Celebrating our oldest daughter's 5th birthday with our other 3 little girls! No wonder daddy doesn't have any hair!

Selah's favorite food in the whole wide world?...Taco Bell. That's right, not mama's home cook'n. She just wanted a soft taco!

This is what a 5 year old looks like!

$1 hot dog night at the baseball game!

Funny hot dog eating faces for everyone...
(can you believe she didn't get any of that mustard or ketchup on her?!)

Abby

Sistas!
(That is cotton candy by the way...and I think Abby wants it!)

Wow, ask them to say cheese and you get some funny faces. I wouldn't trade 'em for anything!
